Esther is a native of Washington D.C. and now resides
in Fairfax County, Virginia. She worked in the telecommunications
field for 25 years before accepting God’s call
to change directions and pursue a new career. She graduated
Magna Cum Laude from Trinity College, Washington, D.C.
in May 2004 with a BA Degree in Human Relations and
earned a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from
Regent University in May 2007.
Esther’s education and practical
experience prepared her to provide individual and group
therapy for a variety of disorders including anxiety,
depression, and bipolar disorder and substance abuse.
During her preparation as a professional counselor,
Esther fulfilled a practicum with Fairfax County Alcohol
and Drug Services, a limited term position as a Substance
Abuse Counselor, and an internship on the Behavioral
Health Unit at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland.
In addition to providing counseling services through
Life Christian Counseling Network, Esther is a therapist
for the Day Treatment Program and the Addiction Treatment
Center at Suburban Hospital. She conducts couple and
premarital therapy and provides supportive consultation
to families who have a family member with mental illness.
Esther holds membership in several
honor societies including Phi Beta Kappa, Psi Chi, and
Chi Sigma Iota. Her professional memberships include
the American Association of Christian Counseling (AACC),
the American Counseling Association (ACA).
Life experiences, the guidance
of the Holy Spirit, and the application of clinically
and theoretically sound therapeutic principles allow
Esther to provide effective, empathetic counsel to a
diverse population. Her desire is to be a vessel through
which hurting people will experience God’s healing
grace and mercy.
