Becca Anderson, MA, LGPC, NCC
Becca has always had the desire to help people. As a believer, she feels called to do as scripture says: love God, love people. Throughout her life, she has always been drawn to forming connections with others, providing encouragement, and reaching out to those who could otherwise be excluded. She knew from an early age she did not want a career that lacked human interaction. Through her counseling work, it is Becca’s desire that every client she interacts with feel safe, secure, and understood. She strives to be a listening, supportive ear to all.
Becca earned her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Having faith integrated into her coursework throughout the program led to an increased desire to incorporate faith and counseling in her work when it is desired by the client.
One of Becca’s favorite scriptures is “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us” (Romans 8:37). She believes that this concept is applicable to the challenges and struggles we face as humans.
Becca understands that not every counseling approach will work for every client, so she uses a variety of approaches. The two she uses most often are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
In her spare time, Becca enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as being creative through different artistic medias. She also enjoys being outdoors and listening to podcasts and audiobooks.
