Hiram E. Jennings, MA, LCPC, NCC
Hiram was born and reared in Washington, DC. He attended and graduated from the District of Columbia Public Schools. He received his Bachelors of Social Welfare degree in May 1976, from Livingstone College located in Salisbury, N.C. During the early 1980’s he received additional training while attending Howard University, School of Social Work. He received his Master’s of Arts degree in May 2004, from Regent University, School of Psychology, and Counseling located in Virginia Beach, VA.
Hiram has worked in the Human Services profession for over 37 years. During that span his career began as a Recreation Aide in the hospital setting to Service Coordination with the public agency arena. Additionally, he has worked in the DC Public School system, Public Assistance program, during the initial stages of welfare reform, and provided Counseling / Clinical services, combined with Spiritual growth support to male chronic substance abusers in a homeless shelter. He has assisted others in need of pre-marital, family, troubled students, and special needs counseling.
Hiram has served in the Deacon, Special Needs for Special Families and Sunday School Department ministries at Woodstream Church in Mitchellville, MD. He and his family are active members, along with their teenage children. He has a passion to assist men, husbands, families, substance users/ abusers and others to embrace their goals, realize their dreams, while actively engaged in growing in Christ to overcome their struggles towards achieving wellness.

Areas of Specialty: Pre-marital, parenting, marriage/couples, adoption, substance abuse (drugs & alcohol) - addict and family member, ADD/ADHD, children with disabilities, learning disabilities, college preparation for high school-aged children.
Hiram works with residents of Maryland via telehealth.
