Jeanie Chang, MA, Resident in Counseling
Jeanie believes that all people are created in the image of God, and is dedicated to supporting individuals and families on their journey toward healing and growth. A native of Chicago, she brings 20 years of a background in education and ministry to her work as a counselor.
Before pursuing counseling, Jeanie worked as a middle school special education teacher, gaining deep insight into the unique needs of children and families. For the last decade, she served as the early childhood children’s program director at her church, further strengthening her commitment to nurturing emotional and spiritual well-being.
Jeanie integrates a person-centered approach to counseling, incorporating principles from Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients explore their emotions, gain self-awareness, and move toward healing in a safe and supportive environment.
Married for 18 years and a proud mother of three children, Jeanie understands the complexities of family life and the importance of fostering meaningful relationships. She is honored to provide a compassionate space where clients can grow, heal, and thrive.
Jeanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Northwestern University and has earned master’s degrees in Christian Counseling from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Clinical Mental Health Counseling from William & Mary, and Special Education from St. Joseph’s University.
