Lisa Connors, PhD, LCPC, NCC, MAC
Dr. Connors is the Associate Pastor of In His Image International Ministry, Inc. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Board-Certified Coach, Master Addiction Counselor, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Dr. Connors is also a Certified Grief Informed Professional and a Fellow in Thanatology [the study of death, dying, and bereavement]. She has been in the human services/social work/counseling fields for over 30 years. She has worked in various settings, providing services to the despondent and downtrodden. Dr. Connors works tirelessly to help others reach their fullest potential, enabling and empowering those who have been oppressed, stigmatized, demoralized, marginalized, and victimized. Her greatest passion is working with post-abortion, violence/abuse/trauma, grief and loss, and racial and social injustices.
She earned her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree from Howard University, and Master of Arts (MA) in Professional Counseling degree from Liberty University; and her Ph.D. in Psychology from Walden University.
Dr. Connors is married and serves with her “soul-mate,” Dr. Connors. They serve in international ministry by ministering and serving others in Spanish-speaking countries. They are the proud parents of four adult children, grandparents of two grandchildren, and pet parents of two four-legged fur babies.
Dr. Connors deems it an honor to be a ‘vessel of honor’ used by her Heavenly Father. She is assured that nothing is or will ever be possible without the love of Christ Jesus…for it is in Him that she moves, lives, and has her being. Her motto is “God has blessed her to be a blessing to others.”
