Ter'race Blake, MA Intern

Ter’race Blake, MA, LGPC, Resident in Counseling, NCC

Ter’race Blake, also known as Teri, believes that each person is worthy of God’s love because God first loves us, no matter the circumstances we experience. She believes that with the power of the Word of God, which can renew all minds and hearts, and the dwelling of the Holy Spirit that leads in being a teacher and comforter, all things are possible through Christ who strengthens us for the purpose He has graced us to complete. Ter’race uses an integrative and collaborative approach to counseling and draws from cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, and person-centered therapies and mindfulness techniques. By cultivating a caring, empathetic, and warm therapeutic environment filled with the presence of God, Ter’race provides an open space for you and others to build on strengths, heal wounds, and recognize the value in your testimony.

Currently, Ter’race graduated with her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Notre Dame of Maryland University in Baltimore, Maryland. Ter’race has a wide range of experience in the mental health field, including at a residential rehabilitation facility and as a residential crisis facilitator at Sheppard Pratt-Waystation in Columbia, Maryland.

In her free time, Ter’race enjoys reading, journaling, volunteering, attending online church, listening to music, trying different cultural foods, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
